Winter White and Growing Green!
Yes it's winter, the holidays are over
and colder days are here for awhile.
Enjoy. Bringing calm and beauty to your
home with white will lighten you spirit
and bring a pure look to your home. Now
grow green! Buy a few house plants to
green up and soften these winter days.
Here are some Simply Fresh ideas
for your winter days.
• Put Granny Smith apples in a large
white or cream bowl. The apples last two
months and smell wonderful!
•
Place three white candles (different
heights) on a pretty tray.
• Lighten up your living room with a
soft white or faux fur throw.
• Put a green plant in a white ceramic
pot on your kitchen counter , add a
pretty white kitchen towel beside it.
•
Create a stunning centerpiece with tree
branches in a tall white vase.
• Place a large green plant on your
coffee table next to a few books. Add a
white candle in a glass candle holder.
• Add white or cream fluffy towels to
your bathroom and a green plant. The
plant will love the steam.

Decorative Tile Coasters
What you will need:
-4 plain tiles (Hardware Store)
-Various greens or pictures of plants
from scrapbook paper (12" x 12")
-Mod-Podge clear coat paint
-Adhesive backed felt circles
or cork
pads
-Glue (stick glue works best)
-Scissors, foam brush
Directions:
Trace paper using tile for the pattern.
Glue paper to tile (cover surface of
tile.)
After it dries, brush Mod-Podge
over the surface evenly.
Let dry and place adhesive backs on the
four corners. |

Corner---Lemon
Chicken Soup
Ingredients --- Yields 8
1 chicken breast 2thighs skin on
1 box of chicken broth
Add 2 cups of water
Pepper & salt
1 cup cooked long grain rice
2 Stalks celery w/leaves
2 Egg
1 Onion, Quartered
1 Lemon, Juice Only
Parsley, Chopped
Cook chicken in stock with salt, pepper
and parsley, after chicken is done
remove skin shred into small pieces. Add
celery, onions, and shredded chicken to
broth, cook until vegetables are done.
Add cooked rice. Beat the eggs with the
lemon juice, add a little of the hot
soup to the eggs and stir, this will
keep the eggs from curdling. Add egg
mixture to the soup. Serve garnished
with chopped parsley.
